Button Blog hop

Today is the reveal day of the Button Blog Hop hosted by Cindy Wimmer of Sweet Bead Studio. I was fairly excited going into this swap, I make glass and silver buttons and thought it would be really cool to swap one with someone so I jumped right in when Cindy announced this swap. Alas I didn't receive any buttons. Cindy said it would be ok to post something I'd made with buttons lately even though I received none through the swap. I still wanted to be a part of the hop so I decided to post a something I've been working on lately I am PUMPED about!

These are the buttons I sent. One large two holed lamp work button, two small single holed daisy bead buttons (my personal faces) and three shanked glass buttons.

These are what I'm so excited about! These are single wrap bracelets ( all the rage lately) made entirely with my boor beads. Little teeny tiny boro beads! And my own silver buttons. I wear a four wrap one a lot and I think they just glow.

So no buttons from the swap for me, but I think what I made with my own buttons is worth showing off!!

Love your bracelets Nicole. What is a "boor" bead?

That was supposed to say boro, my mew software has a horrible spell check! Thanks Jane I saw a lot of these bracelets made with import glass the tiny faceted stuff and thought "why not make one out of my own beads"!

I like them and yes, I do agree, those bracelets are very popular. There is a lot of satisfaction in making your own!! Sorry the swap didn't work out for you but I appreciate your perseverance.

Nicole, I am really sorry that you didn't receive buttons for the swap. The lampwork buttons that you sent out are all so pretty. I love the flowers that you made.
Your wrap bracelets are really incredible..and to think they are all entirely handmade by you!! Rather than incorporate stone beads, you actually used all of your own boro beads! That is so impressive. And they look so fantastic all grouped together!

I'm so glad you chose to play along even if you didn't receive any buttons. The ones you sent your partner are lovely. And the ones your bracelets are gorgeous! I love your tiny boro beads--I'm a sucker for lampwork beads!

I am also sorry to hear that you didn't receive any buttons from the swap... the buttons you sent off are truly special and beautiful!

I love the combination of glass and cording and shiny/crackled buttons- you should DEFINITELY sell those lovely bracelets on Etsy! :)

Even though you didn't get to do a "big reveal", I'm glad that you played along anyway-- you have every right to be proud of your work <3
