What a life!

I spent the most of the weekend in the garden! It's all weeded, I planted my fig tree and rhubarb. Planted some more herb seeds, raked a bit. Then did the Metchosin Farmers market Sunday. It was very hot over the weekend!

Today I've been in the studio making beads, with my portable air conditioner running. What a life! My husband got it for me a while back and I just love it!!!

Some new beads in my Etsy. A earring pair that reminds me of snow capped mountains, and a Autumn colored goddess!

Meet Crash

Meet Crash a barn swallow fledgling who literally crashed into our car shop. We left him alone for hours waiting to see if parent came for him. Then as instructed by the wildlife rescue, we brought him in for the night. There are alot of cats around here he'd never survive the night. In the morning I'll put him back in that spot for a few hours to see if parents come back. If no parents come to claim him, I'll take him to the wildlife rescue when they open.

He's quite comfortable in our bathroom, ate a bit of chopped up worm and drank some water. Very cute perched on his little chopstick!

More Garden Pics and more earrings!

More garden pics, a couple of the fence that's going up. Anyone who's ever been to our house knows it's VERY windy here, so the fence will make my garden much happier. A couple pics of the garden shed, one of my husband stucco'ing it. I cannot wait till everything is done and I can get a couple more flower beds in!

Also some earrings in my Etsy, I just love the goddess dangles.

Earrings!

I've been playing with coring disks and using them for earrings. I have listed a couple sets in my Etsy. I have also been obsessed with silvered ivory stringer and Double Helix's silvered glass. The set in the picture is just one of many I've been doing. Most of which will be at the Puget Sound Bead show. Those style of beads then developed into a new focal bead for me, Sand and Sea. I am having alot of fun with them, the barnacles are my favorite part!

Yart sale on Etsy

I am participating in the 1st annual Yart sale on Etsy. Like a yard sale but art! Type Yart sale into the search section in Etsy and you should come up with loads of goodies to look at. I have a Yart Sale section in my shop.

I have a new capped bead this week, Edaphic. Just copper caps nice and simple, but some great color and reactions.

Andrea Guarino is on Etsy now, check her shop out! I love her bracelets, and her kryptonite beads.

It's been raining here the last few days so I've been busy inside making beads! My garden sure loves the rain though. I've got a lavender hedge planted along the backside of the veggie garden and we are working on a little garden shed.
A couple new things from me. Sputnik a PMC capped and cored bead and Rockin a new Troll/Pandora bead, both in my Etsy.

Progress!

Well we've tilled and planted the veggie garden. I was very excited to find brussel sprout plants!! I bought 8 of them! The herb bed has a few plants in it, I have to search out eyebright somewhere. My peony now has a couple lilies beside it and all my potted primroses along the edge!

Garden!

I have been lusting after a garden space for about 10 years now. Hubby and I have finally started a nice big space for me to garden in! Here's some progress pics showing it before and as the soil gets brought in. Leveled, and new soil coming in for the veggie garden, herb and flower beds!
